Beginner lessons that start with the horse

First rides are our favorite thing. Heather teaches every lesson herself in our sandy arena, and before anyone canters they learn to groom, tack up, and read the horse in front of them. Parents tell us the same thing over and over: their kids come home more confident and more gentle.

  • True beginners welcome. No experience needed, any age.
  • Horsemanship comes first. Respect and care for the animal is the curriculum.
  • Western riding. Calm, kid-proven lesson horses like Gray.

Full-care board

We handle feed, turnout, and daily care. Your horse gets looked after like one of our own.

Tune-up training & exercise

Stall availability changes with the seasons, so call for current openings and rates.

Birthday parties they'll talk about all year

Pony rides, bucket games, and painting a very patient horse with washable handprints. Nobody staged these photos. This is just what a Saturday party at Horse Ridge looks like.
